Disposable Luggage
Pre-packed unisex 1- 2- or 3-day bag contains everything you need to travel. | |
Pre-parked 1- 2- or 3-day bags are sold from an airport kiosk to
travelers who didn't have time to pack. Unisex,
one-size-fits-all and other ideas may be useful in designing the
contents of such a bag. At minimum it would have an
assortment of clothes, toiletries, available in a variety of
mens
and womens sizes, perhaps with dress shirts, or disposable
one-piece jump suit or other such ideas to help limit the
number of bags needed for such a kiosk to keep in stock and
keep down the costs. Even though the bags may be somewhat
pricy, it would be a cheap alternative to loosing a day's
business because one couldn't just run to the airport to
catch a plane. Knowing a day bag is waiting for you at the
other end would allow traveler's to take off on a moment's
notice.

This is a great idea in the age of national security. My only gripe is I hate everything disposable. Perhaps in a different time this luggage could be bought, used, cleaned, and resold. But this also being the age of materialism and hypochondria this probably isn't realistic. |

|
Maybe a more modular approach, but not down to the level of the individual items; so, you pay a base charge for the bag, then choose from "Toiletries: M/F, basic/standard/deluxe", and "Underwear: M/F, dispoasble/reuseable, standard/deluxe" and "shirt M/F" etc. etc. |
|
|
There's a refund for the return of the bag (optional) and any unused items. That way you could get a bag at the airport on arrival and drop it (getting some money back) on departure if you wished. Less luggage to lug. |
|
|
I still keep an overnight bag packed and ready to go at all times (for when They track me down again and I have to leave in a hurry). |

|
This is good, not just at the departure airport for those that didn't have time to pack - but also at arrivals: My bags were lost the last time I went on holiday - I could have really used this as a stop-gap until my bags were found or I bought loads of new stuff (compliments of incompetent airline). |

We've done this idea before as a concierge-like service that assembles what you need and has it ready at your destination. While I can't find the original idea, this has since been Baked. |

Increase profit margins by using the contents of the unclaimed lost lugagge. |
