It is famously unlucky to see a bride in a wedding dress before the ceremony. But there is no foolproof way to prevent a groom from accidentally walking in on a bride when she's wearing it. Until now.
An RFID tag must be surreptitiously sown into the dress, which connects to the receiver in a pair
of goggles that the husband-to-be wears from purchase of the dress to arrival at the church.
The distance from the dress to the goggles is electronically calculated, and the amount of tint on the goggles will be varied accordingly, restricting viewpoint when the wearer is close to the dress; fading to complete black when the two are within a few feet.
A small motion detector would be included with the tag so that it would only output a signal when the wedding dress is being worn.
Over engineered, silly-looking and potentially dangerous, you may think. But the pursuit of a happy and, more importantly, lucky marriage is a noble one that should be admired, and not pointed and laughed at. Besides, when fortune is on your side, what could go wrong?
This has been a Superstitioncorp presentation.

It's bad luck to be superstitious. |

Cue a rash of burglaries on married-couples-to-be by thieves wearing wedding dresses... |

I thought the goggles would help us clean foreign particles and dead tissue from wounds and burns... |

<wonders if these need to be rose colored> |

When I searched, Google told me that it was a word. I just hoped that nobody would recognise it. |

Do they work if the groom is 300 yards away and looking through a rifle scope? |

"But there is no foolproof way to prevent a groom from accidentally walking in on a bride when she's wearing it." I can think of quite a few, actually. |

Yes. Like sticking red hot pokers in his eyes. |

I thought these goggles would show a guy what she might look or act like, 'after the honeymoon's over' |
