Cryettes are special "tissues" which are specially developed for use when you're crying. Each packet of cryettes is beautifully decorated with purple flowers and pretty birds, and says "C r y e t t e s" in feminine calligraphy. The tissues themselves have little sad faces printed on them.

Cryettes are specially designed to prevent the puffiness and redness that is associated with crying. They contain rejuvenating herbs, aloe, and special vitamins, which will make your skin look beautiful, and make you feel better, too.

They smell pretty, too. Each cryette has a different fragrance which will transport you away from your sadness into a happy, sweet and wonderful world.

Just remember, no one can cry for long, with Cryettes!

Maybe they could contain some kind of anti-depressant, too.

But can they make that kicked in the stomach feeling go away, huh? I didn't think so!

       This is so clever!

       Sold next to the onions.

those balsam tissues are for hayfever not specifically for when you are sad.

I want chocolates in the box as well.
po, Sep 08 2003

I don't think you have caught the spirit of the idea at all.
po, Sep 08 2003

I would hardly consider balsam aroma-therapeutic.
waugsqueke, Sep 08 2003

I don't even know what balsam is, but in the States they sell tissues treated with aloe. They're designed for when you have to blow your nose a lot, so it doesn't get sore.

They're pretty gross though. Kinda like someone already blew their nose in the tissue before you got to it.

Couldn't they have reassuring messages, quotes or humourous lines or pictures on them ?

Perhaps you could buy different themed gift boxes for friends.

"I'm giving you this special box of tissues because I'm dumping you."

       Hmmm... Anti-Unrequited-Love Tissues.
egbert, Sep 08 2003

Yes there are tissues with aloe etc but what are these rejuvenating herbs and special vitamins that make you look beautiful and feel better?? If you crack this, I'd buy them.

BTW the ones in germany are called Tempo Aloe Vera and are quite nice except for the advert. They show you how strong they are when they're wet by squirting a tissue with a water pistol. Nice. So they're saying "No matter how snotty you are, you won't end up with a handfull of green goop" . Yum.

This is right up my alley. I look like death warmed after a night of tears. +
XSarenkaX, Sep 10 2003

After you’ve used them all, the box should unfold into a cardboard yellow smiley-face mask (complete with elastic head band), which you can put on before emerging from the under the stairs to rejoin your birthday party. No one will ever know.

       Mmm, duck..

Might we also offer a variety of this where the tissue box is a reservoir that will keep the tissues saturated with ether or chloroform (or some similar agent)?

Anyone with a chronic crybaby in their life would much prefer this, I would think.

       Waaaaahhhh.... thud.... end of problem.
X2Entendre, Sep 10 2003

I rather like the chloroform idea.
DrBob, Sep 11 2003

Ooh, chloroform will kill them though. Let's use ether!
daseva, Jul 12 2007

You could put a joker in the pack - one tissue put in randomly that says in large black on white type: "IT WAS ALL FOR NOTHING" or "YOU ARE WORTHLESS".

       Maybe not.
