Inspired by Zanzibar's recent annotation to CSI: Morning After, I want to see a show that's identical to "Cops", except the bad guys always get away. You know they've had plenty of outtakes destroyed while making the series.
I really want to hear what they would say when wrapping things up.
You know: "We didn't get the bastard, but I like to feel we made a difference today." That sort of thing.
"what?" The Watch.

yeah or even just a really incompetent poilce show where they blatantly miss obvious clues. 'hey mister are those bloody hand stains all over your clothes there?' 'eh... no officer, I just had a burrito for lunch.' 'oh, ok, on you go.' Great. |

he wasn't incompetent, for a french copper he was actually quite intuitive and efficient. |

Rather like Sergeant Colon and Corporal Nobby Nobbs of Ankh-Morpork, Discworld? |
|

In US shows (Wildest police chases etc... all that stuff shown on Bravo and presented by Sheriff John Burnell!), they always show the British police letting the bad guys escape! |

Just bring a camcorder to Western Australia. |

Eugene, you read Terry Pratchett too? |

This could be a motion picture plot: serial killer learns trade from editing clues out of films being prepared by law team experts for trial use. |

When the narrator admits that the police were powerless to stop the criminals, they should still do it in a smug, Sheriff John Bunnell Ret manner, "they got away, but they cant hide forever. One day, theyll be running away
behind bars! |
