This commercial wonder will soon make you king (or queen) of the food-fighting world! A piece of piping (maybe pvc) with an air-intake valve. This piping is stopped off at both ends, with a valve at either end. One of the ends is connected via hose to a second piece of cookie-sized piping at the top.
The cookie-sized piping is then fitted with a cookie. A pump is located on the lower barrel which compresses the air through the piping and up to the cookie barrel, which launches the cookie at unsuspecting foes!
Correction: The cookie is put in edge-wise on the top. One side of the barrel is slightly rougher (not serrated) to impart spin on the cookie projectile. Cookies can also be made with jelly-filled centers to expload on contact.
The gun will also come with a detatchable cookie container on the top of the gun which drops cookies into the firing tube each time the gun is pumped backwards.

Note: Will change product description of better ideas for launching cookies arises. |
Not sure I especially want to get hit it in the eye with a chocolate chip. (Marshmallows do not have quite the same impact.) Then again, you're not one of my friends, so this may not be a problem for me. |
methinks that description is encrypted |

I'm sorry to say this, but a cookie, being a irregular disk, will not preform well without a sabot.
You'd get to much blow-by edgewise (even in a flat barrel), and it'd pivot open like a butterfly valve if launched sidways. |
What you could do to prevent having to retrive your sabot is to have the barrel longer than neccesary, so that the barrel pressure goes negitive - stopping the sabot. The cookie that was sitting on the sabot then continues moving towards the target. |
Good idea, changed descrption at the end to include a sabot system! |
I think this would work better if the
cookie were fired edge-wise, rather
than face-on as is implied in the idea. A
slot-shaped barrel, serrated on one side
and smooth on the other, would impart
a hefty spin to the projectile (hence
stabilising it in flight) and would also
result in a lower air resistance than a
face-on shot.
This could
lead to the evolution of the weapons-
grade cookie, perhaps with pecan
shards set into the edges. |

Wouldn't the serrations tear appart the side of the cookie? |
I liked the sabot suggestion. A cookie with a wooden shoe behind it could really win a food fight. |

I'm getting out of this before you invent dwarf bread. |
Dwarf Bread... don't you mean the holy bread that the Jewish people eat? It's like...flat, 'n stuff. |
I was referring to the Discworld fantasy series by Terry Pratchett--the dwarves make bread suitable for use as weapons. |
Jewish bread, I know from nothing. |
Oh. I thought you were talking about tiny loaves of bread. Well then. Um... How about hard-tac? It can stop bullets, ya know. |
It's unlikely that hard-tac could stop a well-thrown dwarf bread. |
I envisage a system similar to a clay pidgeon launcher (ie a spring loaded arm) would be good and would create plenty of spin, which would improve accuracy. |
Of course it's all fun and games until someone gets one in the eye. |
What if someone gets a cookie launched into their mouth? Then it's all fun and games and food and fun! |
Just put a disclaimer on it. "This product may cause choking, blindness and/or premature death." After all, no one sues Glock when someone gets shot do they? |
I think the potential for a cookie to kill someone isn't nearly as great as if this were a gun which shot rocks. |
Added magazine mechanism. |
