Weighting scales are getting pretty cheap on ebay.
So why not integrate it into the bottom of a container,
which
would automatically report the current weight to an
outside
screen. Which would make it handy at a glance.
But the killer app, would be linking all these boxes to
your
smartphone.
Now
at the end of each week, you can check on the
status of
all your kitchen loose goods. If any is below a certain
weight,
it probably means it is getting empty. Thus you can more
efficiency order just the right amount of refills.
