Use computer components to make a mobile. You know, a mobile like the kind people put above a baby’s crib, only this one will be big and located wherever you normally would have a computer.

The mobile will be mounted to the ceiling, with electricity cabled to the top pivot point and then down to the suspended power supply. Computer cabling will run along the boom poles, to the individual parts such as the CD drive, Motherboard (with expansion cards), et cetera. The mobile will move of its own accord as the hard drive or CD drive spin up or down.

Tinkering with the balance will be necessary when adding or removing components. Careful planning will be necessary to ensure that the suspended LCD screen will hang in the right spot for viewing. A wireless keyboard and mouse will round out the package.

If we end up doing this, I'll post pictures. Very interesting idea for computer "architecture."
