If you make a solar concentrator, one that concentrates light towards a central light collector for either photovoltaic or solar thermal energy, you have room leftover on the sides of the central light collector. You could use this room to have radiative cooling panels, shielded by the light diversion caused by the solar concentrator.

The radiative cooling panels could work better at night, storing coldness in an insulated container, then work to cool the solar panels or cool the cold side of the thermal generator during the day, increasing their efficiency.

So ... underneath the mirrors? I'm finding this hard to picture.

So are we talking fresnel lenses with some kind of radiator panels on the perimeter?

I toyed with the idea of using the cold umbra of a Fresnel lens to run a Sterling engine off of the temperature differential of the two. This could then power an AC unit.
Is that what you mean?
