This Audio Visualization program analyzes speech content, associating colors and/or shapes with words (ie. light colors to express positive; dark colors to express negative), in the same way that audio visualization programs use volume and pitch on music.

I am positive that this would in no way be able to parse the meaning out of language where the positive and negative were used in close association. |

It would have no trouble whatsoever with sarcasm. |

It would also be wicked if it could handle idiomatic usage. |

I can picture Victor Borge saying that we should try to make our speech more colorful, and then inventing a wonderful monologue doing that (somehow). |
