Looking at the Dr Beeching railway cuts of the 1960‘s with a slightly different perspective, I can’t but see that as lowering the UK’s national defenses against the Fey.
I mean, every tin-pot town or village used to have a branch line, overlaying the UK with a ready made grid, quarantining the threat
into manageable areas, allowing occult military resources to cleanse areas and then move on, Kitchener stylee.
I will have to write to Charles Stross and point out this glaring omission, when the nurse gives me back the crayons.
