Coaster Concordia

A thick drink coaster with a picture of a cruise liner printed on it.

Place drink on coaster as normal. After a delay, a concealed mechanism causes the coaster to flip at 90 degrees to the horizontal, spilling the contents of the drink container and causing an expensive mess.

If you watch carefully, just before the thing tips over completely, a little hatch in the side opens and a tiny figure in uniform jumps out, gibbering in italian as it runs away.

Description (displayed with the short name and URL.)

Or maybe the coaster should be motorised, and move around the bar top in tight circles, impressing you with how close it can get to the edge of the bar without falling off. A tiny camera with clever facial recognition technology will pick up whether there are any attractive women in the vicinity - if so, the coaster will zoom off the edge of the bar and crash to the floor.

I think the two of you have had enough to drink. This idea tanks.
