Once I get the VC together I'm going to open a Chocolateria. It'll be laid out like a traditional '50s-style NYC cafeteria with trays and art deco and stainless steel, and old men in hats. Except instead of serving the traditional fare, like chopped liver, tater tots, and peach-halves in syrup, it serve chopped truffles that look like chopped liver, chocolate rum balls that look like tater tots, and dark chocolate molded like peach halves in a choclate-grand marnier syrup, etc. etc.

Inspired by a misreading of [ashibaka]'s recent post.

To the starry-eyed chocolate loving side of me, this sounds like a dream come true. I would love to sit down to a plateful of chocolate "Mousse"shed potatoes with a pat of dark chocolate "butter" streaming down the sides. However, the practical side of me says that I would probably feel quite sick after leaving this place and would have to limit myself to about 2 trips a month. Nevertheless, I give you a yummy chocolate dinner roll for making my mouth water.

I am very proud that my half-asleep craziness can lead to such a wonderful idea.

Good idea! I'm not a big chocolate fan but some of the people I know (especially my three sisters) would go crazy in a chocolateria like this. Did anybody see the movie "Chocolat"? One of my favorites... yummy!++

Specializing in chocolate conkers, I'm sure.

OK, stop it with the conkers. I have never seen one in my life and I already hate them.

Speaking of the movie "Chocolat," I was practically drooling while reading the book. The movie doesn't do it justice.

ARROOOGGA...ARROOOGGA! Danger, chocolate levels critical !
Way too much for me.

I've never read the book but I drooled all through the movie. Everytime I see that movie I have to have a little thing of chocolate frosting or some s'mores!

I'm not sure I understand why you need the Viet Cong to open a chocolate shop.

Maybe something to do with Charlie's Chocolate Factory? I don't know.
