Chain Tower

Don't just be a tool... be THE tool

Cable towers with aluminum pulleys are all the rage for weightlifting, in both public and home gyms. They're smooth, quiet, and lightweight relatively. But what if you don't *want* quiet or smooth for your workout? What if you want tactile feedback, audio feedback, and neighbor feedback? Well, have I got the weight tower for you!

This overbuilt, Made in 'Murica monstrosity is just the thing you need to fuel your inner alpha. Instead of cables, it uses heavy steel chains on heavy duty steel pulleys. You have your choice of selectorized weight stacks or plate loadable weight trolleys. When you pull these bad boys, it will feel and sound like you're weighing anchor on an old school naval vessel. The jerky, ratcheting motion of the chain will force stabilizer muscles to work more and lead to more dynamic muscle engagement overall throughout the range of each motion. On the eccentric motion, the chain's weight and jerkiness will pull down harder, requiring more controlling force from the muscles on the way down, and the constant noise complaints from your neighbors will provide excellent psychological fuel to go even harder with each set.

Don't be a tool... be the biggest tool in the garage and assert your dominance today!

       You're such a tool.

       No, I'm THE tool!

Exactly. If you could just stop making my point for me that'd be great.

[+]. Also aluminum is finite. It has measurable plastic deformation at any stress level. Meaning as soon as you place any load on it, it is starting to fail. Big chunky steel things won't fail, ever, with the sort of forces humans can generate.
