No one likes a yard peppered with animal waste. Even cats and dogs try to sequester waste from their living areas. A small catapault that could be operated by an animal could easily fling the dung over a fence and into a neighbor,s yard,s, obviating the pesky task of cleaning up one's yard. The device should have a timer that launches the feces in the wee hours of the night , so as to avoid observations by adjacent property owners.

because you're too lazy to go clean it up properly? fishbone for being an irresponsible pet owner. people like you give the rest of us bad reputations.

I think the main problem with this idea is that it would be just as easy, if not easier, to actually clean up the cat poop as to fling it into the neighbor's yard.

Something to fling the cat into the next county would be just fine. And I'm afraid that this idea won't make you many friends among your neighbours. A must-have for the urban sociopath.

UnaBubba: What, the cat flinger, or the sociopath thing ? Well, I have ejected cats from my property by throwing them over the fence. And I haven't managed true sociopathy yet, mainly out of cowardice, co I have to be content with my PhD in misanthropy.

Boogabooga: When we were little, we used to do this using Whiffle Ball bats with the end cut off. Range was about 125 feet, and it was fairly accurate when you consider the aerodynamics of a flying turd... we called it the "crapapult"

Also known as a shovel? Assholes around the world have been using the aforementioned device for many years already. How about a device for detecting the dog who always chits big ones in the front yard?

Polartomato: one of those pill-sized short range radio tracers, buried in some dog food. Then track the dog back to its owner's house, and return the little presents their dog has left you. People who allow their dogs to foul the streets and other people's property deserve nothing better and probably something much worse. NB: I'm a dog owner. I clean up after my dog.

I'm all for it. A couple of years ago, I told and re-told my neighbour to keep his dog on leash or at least out of my backyard. I found it very frustrating not to be able to walk barefoot in my own backyard because it was littered with his animal's waste. I promised to bring back the dung on his doorstep if he did not do anything about it. He did not and I held my promise. Although this was not cat, that kind of instrument would have come in handy.

This would have been a useful tool to have at my friend's old house. He lived right behind a multi-story apartment complex, and the people who lived on the third floor were always having parties where they would just toss all the empty beer bottles into my friend's backyard. His solution was to not scoop after his two large golden retrievers did their business for a few days. Then he simply spent some time in the backyard with his 9-iron and stuccoed his neigbors porch with dog poo :)
