Instead of having normal wheels, the hub has 32 powerfull electro magnets fitted, the tyre has corresponding powerfull permanent magnets installed. When powered up the electro magnets activate, centering the hub. As power is delivered to the axle, the electro magnets rotate the wheel, but at the same
time as bumps in the road are encountered the magnets respond to ensure the car remains steady, the system has several advantages, the magnets can be programmed to give a low profile sports suspension by altering the voltage applied to opposing magnets. effectivly lowering the car, or raising the car for those off road experiences that everyone enjoys occasionally.

An idea of some imagination, but you're going to have some severe design glitches to work around. For one thing, the gap size between the stator and the rotor affects the speed at which the motor rotates, and I think that a gap sufficient to provide shock absorbance will either have near zero torque capability, or require power cables the size of your leg to feed the monstrous magnets. Don't even go in the garage with your credit cards for this one. For the brushless motor on our college solar car, the motor was made to be able to adjust the gap, which would affect the voltage drop, power draw, and the speed of the car somehow. You know, all that voodoo EE stuff that I could never quite get a handle on. |

You'd probably need superconductors to get the power/weight ratio down to a manageable and economic level. |
|
|
Right, those economic superconducters... I believe they come in the latest heathkit pack... |

I think humanity has to handle safety issues with
nanotech before the superconductors are allowed out .
The more power , the bigger the bite . |

i have idea uf using one coil spring in cylinder connected tu all four wheel weth liquid shoks the one spring werks for all the wheels.I really like yours though i never thought of thet before.I have thought also uf using the exhaust tu air up air bags uf coarse theirs a pressure release valve in tu flow th exhaust it has a seal off tu leave air in the air bags plus you can set heighth.write back.velf31@hotmail.comor 1123w.33rd st.
