Well, PeterSealy, perhaps you have never seen the Canadian Flash in full crime-fighting regalia: tasteful long-johns (long underwear) from the Sears Canada catalogue, flashy cape made from a flag supplied by Sheila Copps, mask which is really a snowmobiling balaclava from Canadian Tire, and Kodiaks (winter boots) from Workwear World.

Let's not forget his trusty sidekick, Maple Boy.

How is this different from Bob and Doug McKenzie?

I thought this was about a dirty old mountie in a raincoat

Oh . . . I thought maybe this was a notion to move Macromedia from San Francisco to Vancouver BC

I think this Canadian Flash sounds really cool. What a great superhero and role model for kids. Not too violent but loaded with fun! I'm definately pro-maple leaf!

The Kodiak boots are key. Also, Canadian Flash has an unstoppable secret weapon: he throws rock hard pieroges!

I heard she uses maple syrup as a defense mechanism

No, maple syrup is a Canadian WMD, a Weapon of Mass Delectation. Mmmmmm ... maple syrup ...
Canuck, Feb 27 2003

Shouldn't Mable Syrup be his frail, old aunt who is constantly menaced by strange, mustachioed foreigners?
DrBob, Feb 27 2003

Deadly accurate with a slingshot armed with those leaf-shaped maple sugar candies. Confuses enemy by continually switching knife and fork hands while eating. Always apologetic and rarely decisive. Currently overwintering in Florida.
