Stylish, waterproof, thermal gloves that in addition to keeping your hands warm in those cold winter months, also have small moderately-rough pads in the liner, at the fingertips and balls of your fingers, to keep calluses going strong when you're not out there doing labor. When shipped, the gloves
have small amounts of a dehydrant applied to the friction pads to aid the callusing process.
Also excellent for callus creation for new drummers, golfers, or guitarists, by speeding up the process a bit.
Could conceivably be used by men who do no real work at all, but believe that women like rough-handed men.

Somehow incorporate surgical spirits-works a treat. |

This is great. I would prefer a non-thermal glove to wear at the office all week, so that my hands would be good and tough for weekend projects. |
Well, you can't have that. Sorry. |
This would be great for scientists, archeologists, etc. who spend, say, 6 months at the office, then 6 months in the field. |
Correct, [Shz]. I switch between digs and the office (if I'm not here for a while it's because I'm outside digging holes) and can confirm, I presently have no shovel callouses. |
Perhaps we could have roughed up keyboard keys and mouses to keep the callouses alive. |
With the rough pads, these gloves are more likely to produce blisters, not calluses. Calluses are caused by pressure. |
Also caused by friction: See the link. |
EDIT: I can't believe I didn't think to add a link earlier. I'm a maroon. |
I would buy some but do you actually have to do work to produce a callus? If so...forget it! |
They really mean macaroon. |
It's a Bugs Bunny reference. He'd call someone a "maroon" rather than a moron. |
I could do with a neck rub. any offers? |
I'm all for callusing underwear. Keep the little fellas nice and leathery for weekend abrasion resistance. |
Maybe the gloves could be reversible or triple reversible. Yes, a 3 sided glove: 1 side being a textured gripping surface, another being a callus builder, and another side being soft for when your hands need a break.
I believe this could be done.?.. |

[dogzapper] - I wonder if there could be some type of vibrating mechanism to speed up the process of friction for the extremely lazy or the extremely busy. |
The sandpaper coffee mug? |
this would be good for guitarists. |
