Ever been a few rows back at a concert, and were unable to see past the leather clad biker in front of you? How about missing the best floats at a parade, or losing sight of parts of your family while shopping because you can't see over the shelves?
Well now you can just reach down, give a little hop, and pull yourself up by your own bootstraps (your Pa would be so proud).

These after market footwear attachments are adjustable to fit any shoe size and with our patented ratchet pantograph technology you can pull yourself up just a little or with multiple jumps, you can increase your height by a full three feet.
Do to material strength and stresses upon moving parts, pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps is not recommended for individuals whose weight exceeds four hundred pounds.
Drinking while bootstrap pulling is strictly prohibited.
Do not wear while swimming.

Get the tall punks to wear one of these, and turn the camera around [spiritualized, Oct 05 2004, last modified Oct 17 2004]

Adjustable Stilts http://www.marshall...tem.asp?edino=16408
Do these fit the bill? Used by plasterer's and the like in the UK. With a few mods maybe, for 'inflight' adjustment? [Anchovy, Oct 05 2004, last modified Oct 17 2004]

[bwv61] Shorter women naturally fit better under a guy's arm, why change that?

Love the idea, but how do you get back down?
bonsai_rainbow, Aug 18 2004

       Fall, usually.
david_scothern, Aug 18 2004

Ah getting back down is the rub. There would be a ratchet dis-engage switch allowing you to give one last hop descending the whole distance in one go.

<not racist> Does the lowrider version have hydraulics?</nr>
destructionism, Aug 18 2004

       (queue in lowrider song)

I'm scared that if I were to ever have a head-on collision with a lowrider, my axle would only make their car a convertible. I hope they're smart enough to duck.
