As I stepped off Rita, Queen of Speed, I was aware that I'd just hurtled from 0 to 100kph in just 2.5 seconds. In fact, despite my bravado, I was a bit wobbly of leg.

The last thing I wanted to do was to cue for the photograph of me screaming like a girl as I "enjoyed" the ride, particularly as I'd probablly then get it wet and soggy on the log flume.

I'd rather there was a system where I could pay a set price along with my entrance ticket so that I can download a certain number of ride photos to my bluetooth phone during my visit.

Where is this fast and loose Rita you speak of?
methinksnot, May 19 2006

       Alton Towers, UK.

I shall make her mine. And she will love me.

[+] They're probably working on a system now.

lovely. very lovely, or you just text them the number of the photo you want.

(p.s. good to see you again [Fishy])

[kuupuuluu]: You could say that - I couldn't possibly comment...

       Fixed cameras along the track?
or cameras on each car?

Each has its own merits. Hard to say which is better, off hand.

Thanks [neilp]. I'm fairweather 'baking at the moment, but I'm here as often as I can.

As for the idea - another thought would be that maybe photos could be ordered after your visit, through the internet.
Fishrat, May 21 2006

There could be a difficult-to-guess URL printed on your ticket - each has a different one - that you'd use to get to your album.

Just have display boards with the photographs at the exit to the ride. Underneath each photograph is an ID code. Text this code to the number at the bottom of the photo board and receive the picture. That way you can get pictures of those you were with, not just yourself. (Not the same idea, I know, but an alternate solution.)

... and anyone else that you like the look of?
Jinbish, May 23 2006

Bun for you and also a bun for Rita, fabulous ride that she is, the flame-haired temptress. Alton Towers: you rock, but your hope-inducing-and-dashing Machiavellian queue system sucks.
