I've seen both groups perform, and I must say, they'd do great together. I also think they might be able to learn something from one another.

But in any case, it'd make one heckuva show.

I don't know why I like this, but I do.

       Where's the invention?
st3f, Feb 25 2003

Aren't they better as two heckuva shows?

       Ummm... I’ve seen both..... Similar?

I don't know about these "combine this with that" kind of inventions.

       Wait! It's a recipe!
snarfyguy, Feb 25 2003

Shmaybe paint the Cirque members in blue and give them drumming lessons...

       Yes, it's a recipe.

[Dimandja], they don't HAVE to learn ANYTHING. And they wouldn't merge. Just get together for *one* or *two* performances.
galukalock, Feb 25 2003

They may learn anything or nothing. I like Blue Man Group, I like Cirque du Soleil, and they're similar in certain ways yet so different. I think this is a recipe for a great show.

The first Cirque du Soleil performance I saw was very similar in many respects to Blue Man Group Tubes. No paint or toilet rolls, maybe, but many of the performers looked (and moved) as if they been rolled out of plasticine. I say both provide one heck of a show, and there's little point in combining the two.

Yeah, she didn't take the bait I guess.
snarfyguy, Feb 25 2003

I say, if each does a heck of a show, why should they NOT do something together? Each could perform in one show with the others.

And yes, I would like to hear from bris on this.

Never mind Blue Man Group and Cirque du Soleil. I wanna see Riverdance combined with Motorhead.
mrthingy, Feb 26 2003

if we are humoring the idea, why not:

Blue Man group, Cirque du Soleil, STOMP

That would be one hell of a show. (Throw in some Taiko and I'd pay for it no problem)
JackandJohn, Feb 26 2003

       Good one, mrthingy.
snarfyguy, Feb 26 2003

I could see B M G doing a show w/ cirque! come on people!! I like both groups and I think they would do a great show 2-gether! (+)
