Bitey Phone

Clack, clack, clack...

This phone has a small set of teeth inset into the bottom. They can open and close using a hinge set into the rear of the cover. When an incoming call is detected the teeth start snapping manically. If the phone is left on a table it will move and jump about menacingly until you answer it.

Mind your fingers.

What I imagined... http://www.bathyfor...m/chatterphone.html
Not as multi-function as wags', but a little more friendly? [moomintroll, Jun 17 2005]

Annotation:

This would make a good pager too! Would you need to put your ear between the teeth to answer it?

Don't do that [bung]. It's not dangerous, but it will hurt.

       Simple, useless, entertaining. [+]

       Excellent pic. [+++]

I imagined this as a set of wind-up teeth that clacked instead of ringing, and hinged open like a clamshell to become the headset. I'm bunning that, rather than that (rather scary) picture...

"Sorry, no, it's not a bad connection; I just got my phone out of my purse and it has a mouthful of chewing gum..." [+]

That's how it started out [moom], but it went a bit sinister in photoshop.

       Who's teeth?
daseva, Jun 17 2005

Only logical. The vibrate function has found many alternative uses already...

Will it nibble at fleas? Woof.

Sorry, if this thing rang I'd be faster than lightning when reach for the cricket bat. I'd be hitting it out the ground rather than answering it.

<Aussie accent> "Hey, Sheila, ring me agin will ya? Ah've only got halfway through the shearing. " </Aa>

Just can't keep away from that ol' Photoshop... <linky>

didn't this happen in a scene from cronenberg's videodrome?
benfrost, Jun 18 2005

       I don't know, but it's obviously a film I need to see.
