Neal was in need of some relaxation at the airport and the crossword wasn't doing it for him. He furvently looked around to see if anyone was looking, then started to disassemble his pen. He removed the ink cartridge and both ends of the pen, removed the unusually shaped top section of the pen and attached it slightly above where the 'writing' part of the pen usually was. Neal took a quiet trip to the water fountain and added some water. He then put a small amount of ... er ... tobacco into the unusual funnel-shaped end and started to inhale.

Nobody shall ever know...

As stated, this is an idea for a pen that disassembles itself then you can reassemble it into a small, portable bong. Might be useful at closely monitored facilities, or if you only want a small amount of tobacco. It would also make an interestingly shaped pen.

Which airport is Neal in that he can smoke? I read that even Italy is banning smoking in airport terminals.

We have smoking rooms at the Atlanta Airport. I assume there are people smoking in there, but the haze is too thick to tell.

this may be baked but I can't prove it. [+] anyway.

I think the whole point is it does not matter if it is allowed, this is covert.

I beleive there are still smoking areas in UK airports, but that will be going soon.

France. When I was there it seemed that there were people at the entrance to just about every place giving out packets of cigarrettes, and we were somehow missing them every time...

I thought France just banned smoking in public places?
Galbinus_Caeli, Oct 12 2006

I don't think that the French would let that get in the way of a good smoke.
