BinoSnap
Binoculars with built-in digital camera. | |
I've had this idea for a while, long before the digital revolution in cameras. Binoculars generally give you a great image - in game parks, bird watching (feather variety), etc. Till now you have to lug a decent pair of bins AND a huge tele-lens for your 35mm around. By the time you want to click...
the bird has flown, so to speak. Integrating a digital camera into the binoculars would be great. PLEASE, some manufacturer, MAKE THIS! Of course, we would want to see this in at least 8x40 and 12x50 or so, not in the "weeny" binos, and state of the art resolution.

Why don't you just use the zoom lens for spotting? Sorry if that's an stupid question. I'm not a photographer. I just stare at things for long amounts of time. |

A camera with a telephoto lens is pretty heavy -- sufficiently so that your arms would get tired holding it up all the time. A typical viewfinder doesn't provide as good a view as binoculars, and, of course, it's not binocular. |

You could take 3D pictures with it too. Hey! The font on this site just magnified about 300%! weird - It looks like it was taken over by fringers... It's a bit easier to read I suppose - Jutta, did you do this? Now my typos are really gonna stand out. |
