[Forni], I think you shape it to whatever is ergonomically (is that a word?) correct for your style of driving and then perhaps you bake it or something so that it keeps that shape. very nice idea. you would have to play with different shapes though to find the one you like so perhaps the shop lets you have a test drive. |

I could see this working. Have a bunch of links. Each link has an in-line dial that drives a screw to clamp the adjacent joint of the next link. Cover the steering wheel when you're done adjusting to prevent inadvertantly loosening some links. |

The downside is that you might accidentally make your steering wheel too oblong and thereby prevent sharp turns as you hit your legs with the steering wheel. |
