There have been other beer spheres, that I'm too lazy to link to.
This one begins with a pair of stainless steel bowls. A wooden ring (from, say, a solid chunk of oak) is made by woodturning or with a jigsaw. Grooves for seals would be nice. A pair of flanges or many clips (with small bolts)
hold it together and allow disassembly for cleaning. The oaken ring is waxed inside, and has a stout band of iron fastened about it's girth, to hold the pressure and make a solid place for fittings and the like. A handle and feet would be nice too.
Beer sphere. Say it over and over again to yourself until the syllables lose meaning and become just surreal noises.

[+] I like the attention to detail, where all the hardware is mounted on the iron band, though I'm not entirely sure where the oak ring fits onto the beer ball. |

Beers fear? What's wrong, little beers? |
I have to give this a bone for its lack of flexibility and bounce. I want a beer sphere I can ride like a Hippity Hop balloon, hands on the reins and tap in my mouth. |

or bullrider style: beer sphere steer. |
This is all well and good, but have you checked that
it is suitable for filling with high explosives, slinging
beneath a Wellington bomber, and skipping across
jerry reservoirs? |
Those were cylindrical if I recall. |
Specifically, they were barrel shaped; a cylinder with a
wide waist which acted as a sort of keel. Early trials
revealed that a simple cylindrical drum was too likely to
'catch an edge' (if borrowing from modern vernacular is
permissable) and go awry. |
//they were barrel shaped// |
Indeed so. I think, therefore, that this idea could
be greatly improved by making the beer container
barrelical rather than spherical. Other than that,
though, it's perfect. |
So if I understand correctally, you are suggesting a keg-
shaped beer-containament vessel? |
It sounds so obvious now that you suggest it. I'm surprised it has not been tried before. |
//you are suggesting a keg- shaped beer-
containament vessel?// Yes, but specifically in the
shape of a keg in the shape of a barrel. |
bungston, yes! With the downward pressure of yr arse on each bouncelanding forcing beer up nasogastric tube (to eliminate choking on beerspurt). |
