Question on baking, and then Ill delete the post.
If I propose a new invention and months later bake one in
my
own kitchen/garage/nuclear fission facility is my idea now
BAKED? Or does that condition require that my bun is
being
enjoyed en masse in countless cafes, laboratories and
military
arsenals the world over?

An idea selfbaked by [MaxwellBuchanan] [notexactly, Feb 27 2016]

Well, there's a hard and fast rule on that. |
It's hard to nail down and changes pretty fast. |
and are we going to get blamed for it ? |
I think self-baking is generally applauded, at least by
the survivors. |
If you don't tell anyone, you won't have to worry about the
Idea's status here at the HalfBakery. |
What [MaxwellBuchanan] said; go for it. |
If you are brave enough to leave the armchair and risk pinching yourself with pliers, I say bravo. But please post video. And also of the invention. |
"self-baking" sounds naughty, at least to me. |
Self baking is where you set the temperature and timer,
then climb into your own oven, and close the door behind
you. |
If your efforts are rewarded by a successful product or device leading on to fame and fortune, then that's worthy of a slow handclap. |
But to gain the applause and admiration of the halfbakery, there should be a brief (very brief) but tantalizing prospect of success, followed by fame (although probably not the sort that was sought or desired), severe personal injury, widespread destruction, numerous civil and criminal lawsuits, ostracism, homelessness, divorce, bankruptcy, and hundreds of tons of topsoil being doube-sealed in thick polythene bags and buried far from human habitation. |

Pics or it didn't happen... |
Based upon this valuable consideration and advice I shall say
that this idea is not yet baked, merely pleasingly crispy. And
as long as I deny any involvement and keep my finger in the
dike we're all safe. |
"Safe" is a relative term. |
We are gratified to note that you have focussed in on the important concept of "plausible deniability". |
