The idea is basically common everyday appliances reduced in scale to accomidate the needs of a single person. Such appliances would be washing machines, dishwashers etc.
Understanding that many small appliances are not as efficient or environmentally friendly as fewer large ones, the size of these
appliances can be taken advantage of and, perhaps, the washing machine can be made self contained with a filter and circulating water supply so they are not as demanding on resources.

Half (and smaller) sized dishwashers, fridges and freezers are Baked. Can't find any commercially available miniature washing machines, though. |
|
|
Miniature appliances are out there, ¯calum. Be advised you pay more for the smallest sizes. |

Our enemies in WW II weren't buying old western refrigerators and washers for nothing -- they took a look at the size of those hummers and knew they'd have to go pretty far to get more scrap for the price. |

|
Jeez. *Everyone* knows that bachelors do their laundry in the dishwasher, so they don't need a miniature washing machine. |
|

Right, and the drying in the microwave. |
|

Usually, I seem to need a larger-than-normal dishwasher. Oh wait, I don't have a dishwasher anymore. Maybe that's the problem... |

UB, what did he do for the spin cycle? |

How about a three-foot-high automated cocktail shaker cum washing machine? Now that's what I call a bachelor appliance. As for a fridge, surely you need the largest size available to hold all the beer and the Months Of Milk installation art project. And dishwasher? What? Why waste time and energy on plates when microwave meals come in those handy plastic cartons? |
|
|
Honestly, I don't believe you're a bachelor at all. |

slightly off topic (well, quite a lot actually) one light-bellied Brent goose complete with £3,000 worth of tracking device - tracked from Ireland to someone's freezer well within the arctic circle. Please can we have our tracking device back? leaves the goose in the fridge for huntsman's supper - no questions asked. |

Will it have tract its passage? |

Advice to my fellow bachelors: Get a maid. |

Bachelor Appliances
Washer/Dryer..located in nearest laundromat (how else do you meet bachelorettes?
Refrigerator...Located in the Supermarket or Grocery Store, The device in the house is only for keeping beer, water and party food cold, and should therefore be as large as possible.
Microwave...size doesn't matter
Dishwasher..we don't need no stinking dishwasher (as guy fox said) microwave meals taste lovely, disposable ware freely available and any unsuspecting female passing by will do the rest of the dishes. |

This is the best idea I've heard in years. |

Do I sense a sarcastic tone? |
