There are awards ceremonies for television, films, music, books, people, all sorts of things, but as far as I know there is no awards ceremony for awards ceremonies. This should be rectified. Any suitable anachronyms are welcome.

Don't they give out awards for award shows under the "television special" category at the Emmys?

I was waiting for this moment to unveil my "awards ceremonies awards ceremonies awards ceremony" idea. The "Acacacs" (Pronounced by making a choking sound in the back of your throat)

The Ceremony of Ceremonies Awards, aka: The COC Awards. Classy!

[reensure], Your link is redundant. That idea managed a spectacular one day time-span.

I think the "lets create an iterative idea" thing has been done to death. Try the literally superior "Registration database registration database" and the less mindblowing but entertaining "trainspotter spotting" for better iterative ideas than this.

At the risk of repeating myself, once an Idea becomes a list it has ceased to be an Idea.

Well you have the Emmys, the Grammys, the Oscars, etc. I am sure that there are enough award ceremonies to compete with each other.

There could be categories like the most interrupted acceptance speeches (when they start playing the music because a winner was too long winded) and other categories like the most times someone decided to thank God for their song about shooting a bunch of people in a night club. Perhaps a category for the most overused phrases on their show... like when Lionel Richie kept saying "Outrageous!" in the 1984 American Music Awards..

Oh, and the best of all.. the most celebrity sightings of "has-been" and washed up celebrities like Tom Bosley.
