Shopping cart rage is all the rage. High speed shoppers emulate their road rage in the shopping aisle. Pushing a shopping cart is as blind and unpredictable as driving your car from a position on the rear bumper. How about a shopping cart you pull like a wagon? You would be in front of this type
of cart and easily see the crazed shopper flying out of the upcoming aisle, before they crash into the front of your cart. Shop owners may appreciate the fact that fewer fights were started in the aisles, fewer shots fired, less knife play would occur in the parking lots, and the American demand for trail lawyers could be reduced :-)
2009 1 27: Telescoping handles could be added to the front of the basket on each side of the basket, rickshaw style. The handles would rotate down to allow the shopper to keep their hands free and to use their waist to tow, or hands to push, the basket. The handles would be rotated upward to allow the shopper to exit from the cart pulling handles. See rickshaw link below.
