This device, worn as a wristwatch, contains a dictionary of 1000's of funny quotations from the ht TV show The Simpsons. It also has a microphone and speech recognition firmware built in which listens for keywords or phrases in your conversations. When it detects an appropriate keyphrase, it vibrates
and suggests a funny context-appropriate Simpsons quote on the screen. You can then glance down at your watch and if you decide its made a good choice, you can then say the quotation much to the delight of your companions. For instance, if someone asks you, "Do you have any fruit?" the watch might reccommend, "This has purple in it. Purple is a fruit." or if the subject of nuclear power comes up, the watch might suggest, "Nu-cue-lar. It's pronounced Nu-cue-lar."

This is defintely half-baked. Not in the sense of it existing as an idea here - but because the people likely to use Simpsons quotes will have seen the shows...many, many times and generally quote the Simpsons all the time anyway. |
