This machine is sort of a combination of automatic coffee maker, bread machine, and deep fryer.
Before you go to bed at night, you put in some flour, yeast, flavoring, and coffee grounds. You then program in what time you will wake up. About 4-hours before the set time, the machine starts making
the dough. It does the standard knead, rise, knead, rise technique, which takes about 3-4 hours. Then about 30-minutes before wake-up time, it divides the dough into "nut" shapes, deep frys them, and dips them in the glazer. About 5-minutes before wake-up time, the coffee maker activates and brews your coffee. Viola, fresh coffee and donuts every morning.

Have a fresh fried bun. The details might be tricky (tearing into nut shapes, adding glazing, size of the unit, keeping oil fresh), but I'd be willing to live with a significant amount of compromises and price increase to be able to have such convenience. Perhaps just install a Krispy Kreme automated frying device in your kitchen. |
