...etc"

I have actually sung most of this to my kids, and they find it pretty fun. Most adults I've sung it to think I'm on crack.

The easiest verse is the last one.
Matty, Apr 08 2003

       welcome back Matty.
po, Apr 08 2003

This is very similar to a song I know called “Floccinauci- nihilipilification”, which is sung to the tune of “Respect” by Aretha Franklin.
AO, Apr 08 2003

Has anyone managed to sing it all yet? MP3's would be nice :-D
Parvenu, Apr 08 2003

       Now do "Pneumonoultramicro- scopicsilicovolcanicconiosis". +
Amos Kito, Apr 08 2003

This Song is almost as cool as Tron!
Nunothegeek, Apr 08 2003

[Nun] did you write the "Pneumo..... above you.

       something has gone horribly wrong.
po, Apr 08 2003

The page view is broken. Whoever annotated before [parvenu] should break up his / her long word.
snarfyguy, Apr 08 2003

       O no.
phoenix, Apr 08 2003

       Oy vey!
Bowner42, Apr 08 2003

keep yelling for a moderator or Yamahito :)

only kidding - Yama is a breath of fresh blood.
po, Apr 08 2003

I tried to break up the word. Did it fix anything?
AO, Apr 08 2003

I think [Amos] may have made the same mistake

Amos fixed it - move along - I got a new job, traffic cop
po, Apr 08 2003

       All better. Thanks [AO].
snarfyguy, Apr 08 2003

       Would this be a good time to mention a song by the Village People? The song was only released in Wales, and the chorus goes: “It’s fun to stay at L L A N F A I R P W L L G W Y N G Y L L G O G E R Y C H W Y R N D R O B W L L L L A N T Y S I L I O G O G O G O C H!”
AO, Apr 08 2003

ssshhhhhhhh they are all mad in that village sssshhh
po, Apr 08 2003

I know a stupid idea and "antidisestablismentarianism" is really lame-o.
waugsqueke, Apr 08 2003

       kids like it though.
po, Apr 08 2003

Yup. It seems that's the measure of a good halfbakery idea these days.
waugsqueke, Apr 08 2003

this one - is meant for kids.
po, Apr 08 2003

       Thanks for the support, po!

My 4-year old was clapping it the other day, just for fun (the last verse, I guess).
Matty, Apr 08 2003

Ahhhh - and all this in my first visit to hb! Gracias!
dohi, Apr 08 2003

Don't mind waugsqueke, Matty. He's one of our many resident curmudgeons. Between annotations I'm sure he's busily yelling at kids to get off his lawn.
krelnik, Apr 08 2003

Please don't apologize for me. I can handle that quite well, thanks.
waugsqueke, Apr 08 2003

I can vouch for that. But I haven't seen many trollish *POSTS* from [waugwhatever].

I thought you took letters off from the end, not the beginning.
1kester, Apr 08 2003

[1keister] nope. clap out the first letter.

[matty] i applaud your children for sticking around for most of this song. i imagine it can lose its charm somewhere around "ablish" or so... but i like it. +
urbanmatador, Apr 09 2003

       Uh. You're welcome [UB].
Matty, Apr 09 2003

I actually wrote a song called "Antidisestablishmentarianism" once, and recorded it. Although the lyrics are slightly different. I read somewhere of two anagrams for "antidisestablishmentarianism":

I am an artist and I bless this in me.

His art is in, man! A mind blast! See it?
Rubi, Dec 08 2003

From the title, I imagined this would be some kind of "bring down the system" cereal. Oh well.
Detly, Dec 09 2003

I have a recording of a friend of mine singing "pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis" to the tune of "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," as follows:

       Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis

Even though the sound of it is something that often cause neurosis

If you say it loud enough you'll never suffer chronic halitosis

       Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis!

       Umm-diddle-diddle-diddle-diddle-diddle-umm-diddle-ay

       Umm-diddle-diddle-diddle-diddle-diddle-umm-diddle-ay...
