Already there luggage

 Your bags are packed and are aleady there in the airport hotel gift shop.

You log onto hotel web site when you buy your ticket. And in addition to a reserving a room you send a list of what you want to take with you on the coming trip. The gift shop buys the list and has the bag ready when you arrive at the airport hotel of your destination city. All you brought was a small carry on of items the hotel could not obtain. like driver's license and passport.

after MB added link: I like the other earlier ideas' presentation better, but we both have too much expense built in. Maybe an locker room in a cheap sub basement of the airport or hotel, and run out of office in New Delhi. Patron mailed a key or emailed a pass code.

       Economies of scale might be able to reduce the cost of the alternative of sending your bags on ahead (ie assuming people would use such a service.) As things currently stand, even gift shop prices would be cheaper than baggage forwarding, I think, as it costs almost as much as a ticket.   

       So how about removing the gift shop from the equation?   

       Your local department store lets you buy a suitcase full of new clothes, and you just pick it up on the way to the hotel. So same idea; different prices.

       Yes. I'm looking for someone who wears size7 underpants, and uses a medium toothbrush. I'll also swap my pith helmet (invented to literally keep out the deadly rays that today are blocked by the modern aluminium foil hat), for that heavy coat in Moscow.
