I follow a few murder cases and people are always saying, "he doesn't look like a killer, & what does a killer look like".
So here's what we do, we keep a one year, updated image of what a killer would look like if you combined all the features of people convicted of murder in the past year.
There
would be one for males, one for females, and one combining both sexes. Then when someone ask, what does a killer look like, you could just give them a link.
A killer's face

obligatory 'if looks could kill' reference. |

Obviously, everyone should get together and make a kind of photofit of what they think a killer should look like. Then move in next to that scar-faced, one-eyed limping guy whose eyes are a bit too close together and who has a mechanical claw for a hand. Then live without fear, because it's always the guy who "seemed so normal" that goes popgun mental. |

My point, we can't tell you what a killer should look like but, closest thing to it, we can show you what killers look like.
One face.
Just a simplified answer to an un answerable question.

People have done psychological studies on this I think--as I recall, there is no "face of a killer"--when shown pictures of people who may or may not be murderers people can't tell the difference. |
|
|
My point - it's what what on going behind the face that's the trouble. Eyes in the right place, nose in the centre of the face, mouth underneath that - check. Psychotic tendencies - not written in the face. |

Imagine what it would take for you to kill someone. Under extreme provocation, I think we all have it in us. Would your face change? It's all circumstance. |

|
Darn it, I thought this was going to be some sort of DIY 'Extreme Makeover' Idea: "Get yourself a killer face using utensils and chemicals found in the average kitchen" kind of thing. |

(Not that I would need such a thing, of course...) |

My luck: move one of my eyes to the opposite side of my head and I'd be the spitting image of a homicidal maniac. |

The composite face wouldn't tell us anything useful. You address male and female faces, but what about other characteristics? Why bother even making one male and one female why not just one face? We dont learn any less than we would have with two faces because nothing was gained to begin with. I'd bet a croisant (if I had one) versus a fishbone that if one composite face were made it would be masculine. |

What if they publicised this 'face of a killer' and then one year it turned out to be.... your face! Imagine the shame! The social opprobrium! The girls driven wild by your new bad-boy image! |

It turns out to be Michael Jackson. So it's a draw then, right? |
|

Depends on which nose he's wearing at the time. Ooh ooh.. "Michael Jackson Mr. Potato Head" toy... or 'Mr. Jacko Head' perhaps. |

It would be interesting to come up with an average of the expression on someone's face while in the act of killing. Interesting but probably a little sick. |

Brings me back to Michael Jackson. |
