Competitors are required to deliver an
appropriate scream when executing their
dive of choice. This attracts marks for
volume, sustain, and originality, which are

It reminds me of a scene in this movie "Pumping Iron" that tells about Arnold Swartznegger's early career as a body builder. He told a competitor to strike a pose and then yell real loud. Just like: "AAAARRRRGG!" The guy did, he looked insane and lost to Arnold. Arnold's attitude was: Why would I give a competitor good advice? |

Would the scream be louder if the "water" was just an animated hologram that got turned off just after the competitor had jumped........ ? |
