Competitors are required to deliver an
appropriate scream when executing their
dive of choice. This attracts marks for
volume, sustain, and originality, which are

That was spectacular! Roger Pembington-Smythe, with a back double somersault tuck, and an awesome "Jolly Ho", that should take him right up into the medals. It reminds me of a scene in this movie "Pumping Iron" that tells about Arnold Swartznegger's early career as a body builder. He told a competitor to strike a pose and then yell real loud. Just like: "AAAARRRRGG!" The guy did, he looked insane and lost to Arnold. Arnold's attitude was: Why would I give a competitor good advice? |

Would the scream be louder if the "water" was just an animated hologram that got turned off just after the competitor had jumped........ ? |

I like the idea, one body flop, grunt. |

Johnny Weissmuller would be the ideal judge, shirley. |
