3-eye sunglasses

to protect your spiritual third-eye

Many cultures believe we have a third eye located at our forehead chakra point (see link). I'm not certain, but I believe this is part of the reason for the Hindu "red dot". I've also heard of people drilling holes in their heads to "open" their third eye...

Well how about protection for that eye? Either a whole new line of sunglasses, or clip-on additions, to protect your chakra point from harmful UV rays. They're fashionable too! See links for concept drawings.

How about several layers of skin and a skull? <Sealy>Duh.</Sealy>

So is the red dot like some sort of contact lens, or what ?

       Psychic sunglasses ... Pray-bans ?

       Your links don't work, [Matty]

Thanks, angel - I changed the link. It might work now.

       [8th of 7] "Pray-bans" good one!

I second the sealyesque statement. Where is he anyway?
kaz, Jun 22 2002

       where have you been, kaz?
po, Jun 22 2002

You know, around. I'm still here even if I don't post anything or annotate anything. I'm sure if jutta or an administrator took the time to check you would be aware that I do vote for ideas quite frequently.

I still wanna know where PeterSealy is.
kaz, Jun 22 2002

Sealy flew the coop a long time ago, deleted his account, and hasn't been back since. Although sometimes we're suspicious that he lurks around in new user names.

[stu] trepannation has nothing to do with the third eye - more to do with pressure in the skull I believe
po, Jun 23 2002

UnaBubba is still around very frequently that I'm aware of.

[po] That's what I thought but if you look at the link, there are a number of headings/links, one of which is "Third Eye & Metopic suture".
stupop, Jun 24 2002

its just a reference to another book or somesuch that covers both subjects.
po, Jun 24 2002

       As lubbit says - Baked.

But you'll notice I posted this idea in 'fashion', not 'health'. I'm not worried about people's third-eye getting sun-burned, I'm worried about making them look cool AND possibly protect theiy spiritual sight. See? It's a fashion statement with a value-add!
Matty, Jun 25 2002

       My third eye is brass.

       <looks at links>
Actually they do look quite cool (allbeit in a silly way).

So is that what Natalie Portman did before Lukas signed her onto the Star Wars movies? She modeled 3rd eye sunglasses? Couldn't have been terribly lukrative...
