Many movie theaters are quite willing to make reasonable accomodations for otherwise-irate customers. After all, unless the theater is full, your presence doesn't cost the theater anywhere near the $7+ the ticket costs; if being somewhat accommodating means a theater keeps a customer it would otherwise lose, the theater stands to gain. |

Of course, there's a big difference between asking for a refund 5 minutes into a show vs 95, or between asking for a refund on a no-show when a theater had many extra seats (snowstorm) versus when it was sold out. |

If you agree to watch the previews for the second movie (and the regular TV ads that they now show, too), the theater should happily let you into the 2nd movie for free. Heck, even pay you. |

I only go to the flicks if I really wanna see a film. Never Ever walked out of a film. Went to sleep during Gandhi, though - didn't miss a thing. |

I've been given free tickets 3 times in the last year or two, and I don't go to the movies very often. The first was when my wife and I walked out of a movie because it was so bad - we talked to the manager and he apologized and gave us free tickets. The other two times were because the Dolby-ultrabass-hifi technology of the war/action film in the adjacent theatre made the movie we were watching less enjoyable. |

Talk to the manager. If they won't accomodate you then find another theatre. |

Yeah, this is an solution for a problem that has already been fixed in a better way (getting your money back being very superior to getting a discount on another show). |

I used to walk out of movies all the time. With "Pink Floyd: The Wall" and "Blame it on Rio" it was more like running out... |

I don't quite get your last comment, bliss. Why not see another movie, having receiving a refund from the first? |

I've only ever walked out on one movie in my life to date, and that was "Cujo". |

I work in cinema, and as long as your aren't an asshole about it (which alot of people are) we are more than happy to help you out (for example letting people into different films or getting new tickets for people who miss their film). Just be polite, and come to UGC Aberdeen (i may even get you free tickets...) |

If you're headed east, go past the museums, hang a right and you're there. Look for *halfbakery discount - see MikeOliver* |
