1929
Money/stock-themed perfume | |
Produce an eau de cologne or after shave
in bottles whose thick glass bottom is
shaped like a chart of the Dow Jones
Average around October 1929.
The smell could resemble the smell of
fresh ink.
[Disclaimer: Perfumes annoy me
whenever they're strong enough to be
noticed. The idea comes
from sitting
opposite an advertisement for Davidoff
"Good Life" for Men in an airplane for
four hours; the bottle's bottom there
looked vaguely like a very low bar chart.]

Black Friday, no. Gifts to shareholders, yes! |

How about a "2001" perfume in a black obelisk-shaped bottle (of course) but, to reflect the state of the NASDAQ, smelling of burning electronics :-( |
[I love the smell of hot electronics] in the morning...... |

Different persons have different levels of sensitivity to the scent of ink. True, banknotes smell good, but only because they're...well, money. |
But I'm a confessed bar chart man, so [+]. |
Of course, each administration would issue their own bottle, based upon the curve of the statistic of choice. |
You could view the bar graph backwards (just flip the bottle around) for a more optimistic outlook. |

I don't think anybody would buy this. The smell of fresh ink doesn't sound too appealing. |
Actually, fresh ink drives males wild. Male octupuses at least. (Warning, not actually true). |
The scent is a bit too depressing for me. |
