Under the guise of conducting audio experiments with the Martian atmosphere, the rover would roam about with microphones while the lander played various things on it's loudspeakers.
Music from various pop artists, speeches, messages from school children would all be played through these speakers, picked up by the microphones on the rover and broadcast back to Earth.
Sound experiments have been proposed, but I'm not finding anything about putting on a Martian rock concert. You could even have it live with the artist playing in a studio, broadcasting the music and video to Mars, having the speakers play the music, the mics pic it up and then send the whole thing back to earth.-- doctorremulac3, Aug 28 2012 wtnttiraiabwibniiwr http://www.p2r.se/music/disaster.htmRead all about here [zeno, Aug 29 2012] Will.i.am's 'Reach For The Stars' Goes To Mars http://www.cnn.com/...s-single/index.htmlFirst song beamed from another planet to Earth [sqeaketh the wheel, Aug 29 2012] "Ground control to Major Tom "-- 8th of 7, Aug 28 2012 "Spaceship Superstar" Prism-- rcarty, Aug 28 2012 Any early-middle Smiths song, Marr's guitar in the background...-- not_morrison_rm, Aug 28 2012 We could have a laser light show as well.-- normzone, Aug 28 2012 Been reading douglas adams again? link-- zeno, Aug 29 2012 Will.i.am's new single 'Reach For The Stars' was beamed from Mars to Earth yesterday.
