I hate it when a great site is neglected by its owner, never to be updated any more.
An example is www.kissthisguy.com which has not been updated in over a year. Another is the Carlos Redneck Neighbor site which is now nothing but a lame farewell message and recycle bin logo.
What a waste
of popular URL's.
www.dropped-the-ball.com would collect links to great but neglected sites and somehow be a platform to encourage the site owners to press onward.
If they refuse to see the light, the URL's would be transferred to others who will.

Um, what would happen when www.dropped-the-ball.com stopped being updated...? |

To eliminate cybersquatters there should be a use-it-or-loose-it rule. If a site has not been updated for 12 months anyone could take the domaine name away from the current owner for a set fee($5,000?). This will also help people who started a site with enthusiams and only later found out about the cost of bandwidth. |

Hey, you want any of my unused domains, you're welcome to them at $5,000 per! |
