This is a multi function fridge that has air conditioning included giving the wide open cooling mode.

On opening the doors ( double door fridge), in the correct mode, the LCD panels at the back of the fridge display changing antarctic vistas and the fan and heat pump units kick in to flow chilled air at the exposed environment and heat stressed people. Works better in more open plan designed spaces.

To defer the next level bill, heat output can be piped to a thermal store or water heating system. Also the fridge does have a timer and self closing doors, for us forgetful ones.

With more play on air current control available , the inside the fridge becomes a temperature modellers dream. Produce cooling at the next level.

So now if your hot and bothered, get into the kitchen and crack a window on chill.

You'll need to knock a fridge- sized hole in an exterior wall first, push the fridge half way through it, then put a seal round it. Otherwise, the "air- conditioning" will actually be making your building interior hotter.

What [pertinax] said. People forget that the back of the fridge gets warm.
