this wont stop other problems caused by climate change but if sea levels start rising then you might want to consider water sequestration

start building pipes/canals from the sea or from a nearby water source into convenient containers like disused oil fields, empty salt/ore mines, caves, etc. You might even want to create more lakes by building dams. In severe situations, flood death valley and the dead sea area and anything thats below sea level

I suppose if there are anhydrous deposits of minerals somewhere, perhaps in deserts, this could be done that way.

There are a few back-of-an-envelope calculations in the link. Some of the commenters believe you could lower the sea level by a few centimeters (maybe up to 10 cm) by filling all the areas currently below sea level.

But, apart from the astronomical costs and environmental damage, one of the posters (Liver) puts it nicely:

You're proposing that we give up a huge area of land to create an ocean to keep us from losing huge areas of land from the encroaching ocean.

However, if all you're doing is hydrating minerals there would be less loss of land. You could irrigate bits of desert below sea level with it as well, and increase fertility.

We could all just try to drink more.
