That's "Mantras." Not "tibetan gutteral chanting", mantras. Mantras, got it?

Something more in the Zen/Samurai tradition would be better; the idea sound would be:

       "WAAAAAAAAAAAA whssssssssssSSSSSSSSSHUP .... <thud>" *

       * Intended to denote the sound of an extremely sharp Katana decapitating a vuvuzela perpetrator.

//extremely sharp// Unexpectedly charitable of you. I expected you'd decapitate them with a something dull, like a butter knife, and possibly serrated.
mouseposture, Aug 28 2010

That would be tempting, but (i) the katana is quicker, and (ii) it's noisy enough without the added screaming of a vuvuzela-perpetrator having their head slowly sawn off with a small blunt item of domestic cutlery. Largely, the idea is to end the racket quickly and quietly.

noise cancelling flash mob? oh- they'd have to make some noise!

It's just another example of the blatant prejudice against perfectly normal, law-abiding people who simply like to carry dangerous weaponry with them at all times. Disgusting, we call it. What was the 23rd Aamendment for, we ask ? They'll be letting women vote, next ...
