This remote control has a headphone jack on it so you can watch/listen to the tv/movie with headphones freely while the wife is sleeping without 10 feet of wire strewn across the room to the receiver. Also you can continue to listen to what is going on while in another room or on the can. Also works for the CD player or radio.
