Some U.S. states have pretty weird liquor laws. I've never heard of this, though. |
Needs a better name and category. |
hmm.. also, is this not consumer advice? |
My advice to this consumer? Move to another state, where you will be free to drink mother's ruin at your maximum convenience. Ahh, gin. |
This is the case in Pennsylvania, I believe. Big deal. Like my face says, move, or start drinking your gin straight. |
Having said that, I realize this runs counter to the "what's wrong with the way we do it now" theory. |
The fact that none of you would spend more to purchase such an item doesn't mean it wouldn't be a money maker. I wouldn't buy it myself, but that didn't cloud my mind from thinking others might. Your "arguments" don't convice me either. |

This is exactly how the liquor laws are in Washington State. There is nothing for sale in a liquor store that isn't booze except scratch lottery tickets. |
Don't they sell liquor in regular stores? I remember buying wine in a grocery store when I was in Seattle. |
Wine and beer only in anything other than a state owned and operated liquor store. The liquor stores do sell wine but not much in the way of beer. |
[bris] Well, you learn something new every day. Interesting I'm learning this 3 days before moving there, but then again I'm a wine drinker so no big deal. |

[st3f] - that is not what I got from it. Looks like he is considering the law as immutable and figuring out a way around it: a premixed tonic drink. Its not photosensitive jello but its not a bad idea. I recently discovered "bitter lemon" - premixed tonic and sour. Good stuff. |

Celebrate, it's......... TONICA! Dedicated to drinking
lots of vodka or gin tonics...............hic! |
actualy, Tonic water that contains quinine can have good medicinal properties, if you don't add alcohol. I've found it to be good for combating diarea. it works much faster than Pepto Bismal. |

by the way, can the liquor stores in PA and Washington state sell snacks like chips and pretzels? |
