thermometer mug
Beeps constantly when the coffe is at just the right temp to drink | |
To avoid waiting for the cup of coffee to become the right drinking temperature by wandering away and forgetting about it. This device would beep while the hot beverage is at a pre-defined drinking temperature.

http://www.halfbake...ckage_20Thermometer This "Musical Mug" doesn't just beep. It beeps out the approximation of a tune! [Amos Kito, Oct 17 2004]

This would drive [UnaBubba] nuts. + |

Beep ... beep ... beep ... beep ..... |
|
|
Why does it have to beep? You can easily get coffee cups wth thermochromic paint, indicating the right (or wrong) temperature with a color change. |
|
|
[UnaBubba] has a point, though - consider changing the tone from an irritating, tinny beep, to an irritating, tinny chime, or an irritating, tinny, Korean-accented voice. |
|
|
I'd like it to notify by calling your cell phone when the temperature is correct. |

geez you guys take everything so literal, perhaps with some intensive design changes and major marketing it would beep until you say...turned it off. |
|
|
It should beep very loudly for maximum annoyance maybe sounding like a reversing truck "sonalert" beeper. It should also have a vibrate motor strong enough to shake it off onto the floor. Strobes and some large pyrotechnics would help. I really hate cold tea!
A tilt sensor to detect the drinking movements exerted on the cup to turn the alerts off might be sensible. |

Wouldn't a simple thermometer do? |

// perhaps with some intensive design changes and major marketing it would beep until you say...turned it off. // |

No no, you can't do that. You have to have it beep the entire time, so that when the beeping ceases, listeners will know that the beverage temperature has dropped below optimum. |

Have a clip-on combination tuningfork and clockwork hammer. Wind it up, attach it to your coffee cup, and it clinks away against the stoneware, every half-second. As the cup cools, the tone changes. When your cup reaches the correct drinking temperature, the vibration will resonate loudly in the tuning fork, and carry through the table it's resting on. |

Add an LCD panel with digits that count down in seconds, and keep the bomb squad busy on slow days. |

This coffee you gave me blows, [Mr Burns] |

I cannot bring myself to say that I agree with Captain Ignorant. but in my case it would be coffee, I don't seem to have this problem with tea. |

i made a Digi-Mug, it integrates PTC, IC, and LCD system. and i invested money to mass manufacturing.
that's a really great product. there are COFFEE mode, TEA mode, BABY mode, and INDIVIDUAL FAVOURITE mode. temperature can be controlled accurately. it also can be used in auto. unfortunately, i made a BEEP system when temperature reach what you preset.
please visit my web for more information, and i will be appreciate if you could introduce this mug to sellers in your countries.
