if anyone snowboards with step-ins they know the problem that if fresh or sticky snow ice will get into your bindings that you have to clean out which is often a hassle (i usealy resalt to hitting the ice with my fist becuase i don't want to get my screwdriver out) before you can "step-in"
by using
teflon, the miricle non-stick substance, on the pads (this will only work with certian types of step-ins, mine are heel-to-toe step-ins and the ice get stuck under the boot on the rubber pad near the toe clip) with the teflon cout, possible a spray on cout could stop ice from "gumming up the works"

I could have sworn that Teflon is available as a spray on. My connection is too slow right now to do a search. I propose that imer obtain this putative spray, spray only one binding, and leave the other unsprayed to serve as a control. |

There is other stuff which can be applied to windshields to prevent wetting and make the rain bead up / fall off - RAIN_X so some such. Finally, I have heard that rubbing your windshield interior with unchewed chewing tobacco can also prevent condensation - presumably the oils in tobacco are hydrophobic and adhere fairly well to glass. Since all snowboarders chew, this would be even easier for imer to try. |

I,d reccomend strap-ins and some knobbly rubber spiky bits on th knuckles of your gloves. Works for me. |

Spring is here and no report about my above proposed solutions using Rain-x, tobacco, etc.. I suspect imer may be a morbidly obese shutin who likes to _think_ about snowboarding because of that snowboarder woman who won the gold medal. |
