switch armband

..because they'll never know you're riding switch if you don't advertise

I am in the process of learning to snowboard backwards ("switch") and I spend a lot of time going slow or unexpectedly catching an edge and wiping out. Due to my unstable disposition when riding switch, I would like to be able to warn people near me so that they give me a tad more space.
The simple solution- an orange reflective armband with "switch" written on it. A goofy-footed person like me would put it on their right arm, which would be the trailing arm when they're riding switch. This would make that fact obvious to people behind you.
More advanced snowboarders might still find the armband useful because then they would be able to let everyone know that the fatass 360 they just spun was actually a fatass *switch* 360. Of course, they'd be on the honor system when it comes to putting the band on the correct arm.
Also, pros could be required to wear the bands at competitions so that the judges and spectators have an easier time determining whether a move was done switch or not.

Annotation:

       People will not be able to see the armband at night or in fog. You will have to add a reflective hat with bells on it.

       //A goofy-footed person like me// I'm Donald-Duck footed myself. Don't even need a snowboard.

       that is an awesome idea. but the armband would need to come in a variety of styles to ensure universal appeal. Black leather with big studs spelling out "switch". Neon Pink Spandex. Urban Camo.

       Just get Nite Ize to make these, and integrate their LED bands that are already used for night sport visibility [links]

       Why in the name of all cods would someone want to snowboard backwards? Much easier to run the GoPro footage in reverse.

       He's too busy writing books and being dead and stuff.

       // Why ... would someone want to snowboard backwards? //

       Because snowboarders have no capability for rational, analytical thought. If they did, they'd espouse a less antisocial alpine sport, like sniping, or triggering avalanches and rockslides.
