 A chatbot as an anecdotal history interviewer.

There must be a thousand stories in the city on the verge of disappearing into the ground and atmosphere. Why not use a chatbot to interview our wise.

The chatbot would take the form most comfortable to interviewee, cursive letter, telephone call, fax or for those that can handle the future, an avatar. A text script of the conversation would be the goal but voice files, bitmaps of writing styles or webcam shots of facial expressions can also be databased.

So when your son's son's son is researching an ancestor, they can hear what another ancestor said about them.

       The bot could completely automate this. Interviews would be simulated and the stories made from whole cloth and presented as found wisdom. One might want a human editor to weed our the truly bizarre, although those might actually help in small amounts - sort of like the stink in stinky cheese.
